DESCRIPTION:Restorative yoga is an embodied meditation practice\, a pathway to somatic reset and inner peace. \nIn a restorative yoga class\, your body will be fully supported in comfort and ease using a variety of yoga props or any items you can find around your homes\, such as blocks\, blankets\, bolsters\, cushions\, pillows\, and eye pillows. The intention for this practice is to bring mindful awareness\, attention to your sensations\, and on releasing tension at the physical\, mental and emotional levels; it is a gentle\, slow\, therapeutic a practice of conscious relaxation. \nThis style of yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system mode\, which\, in turn\, helps the body rest\, heal\, and restore balance. DESCRIPTION:Getting Smaller: The evolution of breast cancer care from radical surgery to targeted cellular therapies. \nJoin the conversation with Dr. Tiffany J. Sinclair\, MD\, FACS\, Breast & Endocrine Surgery \nFriday\, October 30th 12-1:30PM at Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center \nDr. Tiffany Sinclair is a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and received her training in general surgery at Stanford Health Care. She then completed a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation\, specializing in the surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Before joining United Medical Doctors\, she worked at Kaiser Permanente in the Los Angeles area\, where she gained additional expertise in Breast Surgical Oncology. \nDr. Sinclair performs breast\, thyroid\, and parathyroid surgery and specializes in the management of breast and endocrine cancers\, as well as benign conditions\, including breast masses\, nipple discharge\, thyroid nodules\, and hyperparathyroidism. \nShe is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She serves on several national surgical committees\, including the Executive Council of the Association of Women Surgeons.
