Behavioral Health

Michelle’s Place Department of Behavioral Health is pleased to offer no-cost,
professional counseling services for individuals, couples, and families impacted by
a cancer diagnosis.

These counseling sessions are provided by advanced graduate
students enrolled in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling and Social
Work programs, under the clinical supervision of Licensed Psychotherapist, Shanda M. Brennan, MSW, LCSW #92487.

These counseling sessions typically address the following concerns:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Traumatic stress
  • Grief and loss
  • Couples and family issues
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Relational concerns
  • Life transitions

Group therapy sessions addressing a variety of topics from thriving during survivorship to First Steps for those newly diagnosed are also offered under Support Groups.
