Navigating Your Cancer Journey

An Educational Series Hosted by Local Scholars, Medical Professionals and Specialists

Michelle’s Place is proud to introduce Navigating Your Cancer Journey, a new series of seminars and workshops designed to provide knowledge, guidance, and support for individuals and families affected by cancer. These educational sessions are practical, client-centered, and focused on addressing the real-world questions and challenges that arise during and after a cancer diagnosis. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of their diagnosis, explore strategies for managing physical and emotional well-being, and connect with resources that help them navigate life with confidence and support.

Topics in this series include:

  • Understanding Your Diagnosis – Learn about your cancer type, treatment options, and what to expect in plain, understandable language.
  • Managing Physical Challenges – Practical strategies for easing pain, stiffness, and neuropathy during treatment and beyond.
  • Stress Relief & Mindfulness – Tools for regulating the nervous system, reducing anxiety, and fostering emotional resilience.
  • Life After Treatment – Insights into survivorship, ongoing care, and how to navigate daily life post-treatment.
  • Support for Caregivers – Guidance to prevent burnout, build compassion fatigue awareness, and access helpful resources.
  • Additional Practical Resources – Information to help with questions, planning, and connecting with community support.

These seminars and workshops empower clients with knowledge and actionable strategies, helping them feel informed, supported, and better prepared to navigate the challenges of a cancer journey.
