Michelle’s Place Offers Multiple Support Groups to Fit Your Needs
You don’t have to face cancer alone. Having the support of others dealing with similar experiences is an important part of your journey. Support groups offer the opportunity to give and receive help and can reduce the anxiety that a cancer diagnosis brings. Our support groups are all free and open to all cancer types. Cancer Support Group:
The Cancer Support Group is a self-help group designed to benefit women who are recently diagnosed, currently going through treatment, and survivors. Women can gather to share their experiences, ask questions, and give/receive support.
Evening: 1st & 3rd Wednesday, 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Daytime: 2nd Wednesday, 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Metastatic Support Group:
Daytime: 2nd Wednesday, 10:30am – 12:00pm
Evening: 4th Wednesday, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Ovarian Cancer Support Group (OASIS):
Michelle’s Place is the host site for women newly diagnosed, currently in treatment or survivors of ovarian cancer.
3rd Monday, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Survivorship Support Circle:
Designed to benefit survivors who have finished treatment and are working through their new “normal”. Survivors will share their journey, support, and share resources with one another.
2nd Wednesday, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Esperanza para Mujeres (Hope for Women):

3rd Tuesday, 5:00pm – 7:00pm
A nurturing environment for kids who have a parent with cancer or have lost a parent to cancer. This group provides friendship, understanding, education, and support through play and talk therapy. Husbands and partners may find themselves in the difficult position of supporting their life partner while managing their own distress. Join other men for a fun hangout with pizza and beer at Old Town Barber to escape the day-to-day stresses for a little while.
